The literal meaning of sincerity is to be pure, uniform, and free from adulteration and double color.

In the terminological sense, sincerity is the name of similarity of outward and inward, harmony between heart and tongue, unity in word and deed, being free from hypocrisy and artfulness. Sincerity makes worship acceptable, speech is effective, and action beautiful.

Sincerity is the soul of action and the source of God’s mercy, because it abolishes evil and establishes an atmosphere of peace and friendship.

Without purity of heart, sincerity in speech and action is impossible. Every action devoid of sincerity is wasted and deception of the soul and
Satan. Pure hearts are the source and fountainhead of sincerity.
