FORBIDDEN SUSTENANCE
The sustenance that is earned through unlawful means and by violation of the rights of God’s creation is forbidden.
Collecting wealth through illicit means to fulfill avarice, greed, and sensual desires impures a person’s blood, contaminates his character, and practically leads to rebellion against God.
Such sustenance is death to faith, poison to the soul, and harmful to physical health. Love of this world, greed, negligence from death, and the Day of Judgment are the means of forbidden sustenance.
Forbidden sustenance contaminates intentions, and existence is a source of evil, which gives rise to social evils such as cruelty, oppression, and immodesty.
Even by violating the rights of the poor and needy, humans cause moral imbalances and injustice in society, which dislocates the balance of justice and fairness.
Hypocrisy, malice, disintegration, ignorance, barbarism, and brutality become common, and man rebels against command and prohibition.
In short, forbidden sustenance is the scourge of society, leading men to the extreme point of destruction, ruin, and death.
- Forbidden sustenance is the foundation of all moral and social inequalities.
- Forbidden sustenance leads to a decline in faith and progress in greed.
- The main reason for hypocrisy and disintegration is greed and banned sustenance.
- Forbidden sustenance awakens the self and makes the heart unthoughtful.
- Contentment is a source of salvation from forbidden sustenance.
- The inner self becomes impure from forbidden sustenance, and worshipping in impurity is pure hypocrisy.
- It is impossible for one whose sustenance is forbidden to follow the straight path.
