UNITY AND DIVISION

Unity’s literal meaning is to be one, united, and agreed upon.

Unity, in the terminological sense, is the name of putting aside rational arguments and petty differences and taking facts into account, becoming hand in glove with each other for the salvation and survival of humanity.

Unity in the body and soul is life, and in nations and tribes, it is the cause of peace and security. Unity is the way of the righteous, the nature of the men of God, and the first desire of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).

Unity is the light that purifies hearts from hate, envy, and malice, transforming hate into friendship, war into peace, hatred into love, and evil into law, thereby bringing peace of mind and the welfare of the world and the hereafter.

Unity is the greatest power in creation after the power of Allah. United people are under the special protection of Allah Almighty.

Unity is the mercy of Allah, while division invites the wrath of Allah. Division and sectarianism are transgressions of Allah’s limits, utter ignorance, and disobedience. Division is the cause of the weakening of the solid structure of Islam and the reason for the downfall of Muslims.

Allah Almighty is merciful to united and agreedupon people. Their righteous deeds and supplications are accepted in the court of Allah. The creatures of the earth and the heavens are their friends, and Allah Almighty loves them. United people are the conquerors of hearts, and success is their destiny.
