Disagreement and clash of ideas among the residents of the planet have created a stampede-like situation everywhere. War among different countries, the clash of religions, and the ups and downs of civilizations have left no stone unturned in the destruction of generations.
Self-promotion and destructive thoughts to devastate others have worsened the circumstances so much that no results are seen for the useless efforts to save humanity.
There is a state of dullness, agitation, and despair. The noise of propagandizing religion has become so much that it has echoed all around, but Muslim society has become devoid of effectiveness. No love, but hatred is common. Friendship is absent, but hostility is on the rise. Justice has disappeared, but cruelty and injustice are ruling everywhere. Darkness has camped, and light has gone out.
There are loud slogans of Islam all around, but peace has gone—hostility to opponents of Islam in speech and writing, but the complete similarity in character.
Muslims verbally express the Sunnah of the Apostle of God (Peace Be Upon Him), but they are practically rebellious and disobedient. What will be the future of such a disloyal Ummah who reaches the extremity of love and loyalty verbally but practically goes to the extremity of unfaithfulness?
Blind imitation of ineligible leaders has blinded our intellect. How will unawareness of ourselves and blaming others bring a bright morning for us? There are such storms of hatred in leaders involved in personal interests, whose effectiveness manifests in the form of hatred, hostility, war, and killings of their near ones. Is it justice to put the responsibility for personal deeds on others? Every human being has intellect, and everyone has a court of conscience. We must understand that the reason behind the enmity of non-Muslims with us, their hypocritical thinking against us, propaganda, and titles of terrorism and extremism, is our hypocrisy.
No one has the courage to interfere in the house where its members are united.
It is good to blame yourself for your misdeeds, failures, humiliations, and degradations because when you have defects within yourself, blaming others is not compatible.
What else will they do if non-Muslims do not throw violence, oppression, encroachment, and fireballs on us?
If they do not play with our devotion and sentiments, then with whom do they play? If they do not dare to use nasty words and insulting sketches about our Master (Peace Be Upon Him and His Progeny), what else should they do? Enmity is the job of the enemy, for what should we complain? Make yourselves strong, and do not let others interfere. It will save you.
It is a matter of regret that today we do not even know the reality of Islam. Muslims have been divided into different groups and sects instead of understanding Islam and practicing it. We have shaken the foundations of Islam by giving rise to our ego, casteism, and denominations, and we do not even have the fragrance of character of our Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
We are far away from reforming our circumstances and character-building. It has become our hobby to hurt others’ devotion which is a choice of human nature, and we pray for the victory of Islam and the defeat of infidels.
We admit Islam a complete code of life, but we consider it necessary to give rise to hatred and sectarianism due to petty differences in jurisprudence. Our self-satisfaction is hidden in the destruction of others.
Remember, O Muslims! Despite having the best resources in the world, your hypocrisy has made you a captive and slave of others. Our hypocrisy has become a source of
humiliation for us more than notoriety. We must return to the Islam brought by our beloved Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). The character of our Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) is the image of faithful Islam. The method of violence, burning and surrounding could not be profitable. We must be brothers, just like the refugees of Makkah and the Ansars of Madinah. Muslim unity and agreement is an excellent fortress which invincible.
If there is unity in body and soul, it is life; if it is in nations and tribes, it becomes a source of peace and security. Unity is the way of righteous people, the life of men of God, and the first desire of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
We have to change our behavior to eliminate non-Muslims’ attitudes towards Muslims. In other words, we must stop mutual differences and bloodshed after abstaining from the current practice.
We must prove ourselves as the torchbearers of peace in the world by establishing an atmosphere of brotherhood. But the cure for all these problems and every suffering, pain, and disease of Ummah is hidden in unity and agreement.
Remember, along with understanding the importance and obligation of unity, we should know when and how agreement among Muslims is possible. Every religious, political, and social leader talks about the unity of the Ummah.
In every organization, congregation, and sect, lectures are given on the need for the unity of the Ummah, and its importance is highlighted. But it is not understandable why a unity is not visible in Muslim society.
Remember! The foundation and commencement of unity come from our existence. A man who has unity in his existence can unite the world. Unity of reality is the harmony of man’s intention, speech, and character.
In other words, there should be no hypocrisy of intention with speech and speech with character, and to make intention, speech, and character witness to each other, we have to give up greed and make contentment the way of our life.
A Muslim cannot remove the stains of terrorism and extremism on him until his speech and character are not the same. The cause of all our defects is hypocrisy, and the reason for hypocrisy is the difference in our speech and character.
Those people, organizations, groups, and sects can never unite Ummah, who do not have unity in their existence, cannot work for the unity of the Ummah. The means of the unity of the Ummah will be those people whose character will be a witness of their speech, whose deeds are enlightened, who are as kind to each other as the companions of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), and whose kindness, love, friendship, compassion, sympathy, justice,
truth, honesty, forgiveness and purity present practical model of the character of the Apostle (Peace Be Upon Him). Friends and enemies should bear witness to their purity, truth, honesty, and justice.
Those who mirror the life of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) can establish the unity of the Ummah and prove a boat that will save Ummah from every difficulty. They will give miserable, disappointed, and helpless people access to the shore from the vortex. There is a need for a leader who is not casteist, nationalist, and fanatic to prove this reality and to establish an atmosphere of unity and agreement. Such a personality can be a Christ-like figure to abolish sectarianism and establish unity of Ummah.
Honest, righteous, and sincere believers are always present in society. The people must recognize them and support them, if Allah wills it.
