Before the advent of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), the darkness of ignorance was overshadowing humanity. Killing, bloodshed, evil, corruption, egoism, pride, arrogance, injustice, and cruelty were common in the society. The nights of ignorance and barbarism were getting longer and longer.
At last, throne-shaking cries of the oppressed and helpless people excited the Mercy of God Almighty, and the Creator of the universe decided to change the destiny of the oppressed human beings. For this great purpose, the Lord of the universe did a great favor to humanity by making his beloved and chosen servant Mercy for the World (Peace Be Upon Him) based on His traits, the representative for the salvation and guidance of humanity.
The Mercy for the World (Peace Be Upon Him) endured many sufferings and hardships to make man aware of life’s purpose and reach the ascension of humanity. Because of his strong determination, firm belief, high trust, and infinite love of humankind, He (Peace Be Upon Him) succeeded in his sacred mission.
The holy task was to provide society with a great nest or residing place where there is the protection of rights, development, salvation, and guarantee, not only for human beings but also for all the creation of God.
God Almighty has given such a beautiful, great, perfect, and unparalleled shelter to the great leader of humanity and sympathizer Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (Peace Be Upon Him). The shelter is a favorite of Allah Almighty and free from all defects. It is an outline of the salvation and protection of the past, present, and future. He (Peace Be Upon Him) completely protected this sacred and beautiful shelter, protected from all kinds of external and internal threats of enemies. It is a great and holy abode of peace, tranquility, and salvation, namely religion Islam.
Even after his demise, for some time, His (Peace Be Upon Him) trained companions defended the shelter well. After some time, the heirs and protectors of this sacred abode changed; as the heirs changed, the beauty of the nest started to diminish.
The shelter became devoid of character beauty, such as justice, truthfulness, peace, righteousness, sincerity, and purity. Because of the Muslims’ negligence and carelessness, strangers entered the nest by deception. They stole something for their abode, and the rest were sold by oblivious, heedless, and worldly defenders (Muslims) for wealth.
The protectors of the abode of peace and security started adopting rebellion and defiance. They became active in the search for peace and tranquility in the nest decorated with Western civilization. It is a matter of regret for the ignorance of Muslims; not only they left the protection of their real residing place, but they also got nothing except humiliation and disgrace from the fictitious and defective civilization of strangers.
The victorious Muslims of the world in the past lost their awe, influence, and effectiveness and became slaves of others after coming under their wonder and influence. Today, the Western storm has destroyed the desolated abode of Muslims. Now, the Muslim sometimes knocks at the door of the East, and sometimes the West; a formal promise of shelter is made from both sides, but when the poor Muslim reaches, he is oppressed. He is tyrannized, and the spear injures his existence.
Now, the beauty of the nest of Islam, which was established almost fourteen and a half hundred years ago, has been desolated. The abode was a house of peace, tranquility, and salvation in the past; now, people are scared of it, and no one is ready to live in it.
Today’s so-called Muslims are equally involved in this shameful act of the enemies because the reality of Islam is not proved by history but rather by the deeds of the Muslims. Our Islam is confined to oral claims, writings, speeches, apparent piety, meetings, processions, and formal congregations.
Why are Muslims being tyrannized today?
The answer is clear: we have left behind the teachings of our Leader (Peace Be Upon Him) and have forgotten our predecessors’ great sacrifices and golden history. Muslims themselves have despised their civilization and religion. They have left no stone unturned in rebellion and defiance by turning themselves practically away from the right path. The brother became the enemy of the brother, and the son became the enemy of the father. The Creator of the universe, Allah Almighty, has become angry at us. We are suffering from many worries because of our evil deeds.
The worshiper of desires and greed, the Muslim has become the enemy of his Muslim brother. The respectable nation of the past is called terrorist today. The great blessing of unity has been taken away. The existence of a Muslim is filled with the poison of disintegration and hypocrisy. Justice has turned into cruelty, Mercy into wrath, and truthfulness into hypocrisy. The golden Islamic history of fourteen and a half hundred years has started to look dim due to the ongoing conspiracy of enemies and evil deeds of the Muslims.
Today’s leaders, scholars, philosophers, and spiritual leaders have been imposed on us by becoming slaves of enemies to fulfill their desires. The flattery of opponents, our expectations of them, and our duplicitous policy drag us daily to the net of destruction.
Today, the salvation of Muslims is hidden in strong determination, perfect faith, unity, and agreement, which is our lost heritage. We should be united by overcoming hypocrisy, defiance, rebellion, and distinctions of color, race, nation, and tribe. Keep the sacred relation of Islam before every connection. Follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) by leaving aside hypocrisy, defiance, indecency, and misbehavior.
If we do not adopt Islamic teachings, no power in the world can save us from destruction and devastation. If we do not prove the past of our ancestors in the present through our righteous deeds, do not listen to the cry of Islam, and do not defend our holy shelter, sit in the hope of help. The flood of enemies’ civilization will flow through our generations and sweep them like straws.
Living nations combat the greatest storms with conformity, unity, strong determination, and perfect faith. Allah’s help is hidden in the modesty of the servants. It is not wise to ruin your eternal life for desires, greed, and a few days of luxuries; rather, it is the peak of ignorance. The defense of Islam is Islam, in which our protection, honor, and survival are hidden.
The entire Muslim world should be united under the platform of Islam by setting aside the path of sectarianism and disintegration. In acting upon the decree of Allah Almighty, “And hold fast by the rope (covenant) of Allah all together and be not disunited,” our worldly and hereafter salvation is hidden.
If we do not get rid of sectarianism and do not return to one religion Islam, no one will be able to save us from further downfall and destruction. We should take the right path by adopting the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to follow Islam and the Prophet’s teachings (Peace Be Upon Him). Ameen!
